The EAS Buddy Box is a small portable handheld device that enables the user to reset the Range Rover Electronic Air Suspension (EAS) computer. The device is powered solely by the cars own OBDII interface port and requires no further user interaction. Once the device is plugged into the OBDII port, communication is established with the EAS and the reset commands are sent out automatically.

In addition to reseting the EAS fault, the EAS Buddy Box will also read the stored EAS fault codes. After the user has finished resetting the EAS computer, the EAS diagnostic trouble shooting codes are stored internally on the EAS Buddy Box. The EAS fault codes can be retrieved by simply plugging the EAS Buddy Box into a Windows PC USB port. Once the EAS Buddy Box is plugged into a Windows PC USB port, the retrieved EAS Fault codes can be read in plain english and can be used to further troubleshoot the Range Rover EAS.

Range Rover Air Suspension Reset Buddy April 7, 2010

This tool is very simple to use.  Plug it in, let it reset the system, and then plug it into the computer to read the error code.  It had my system reset in two minutes.  I carry it in my RR at all times.  I recommend it very highly.

I bought this when my 2000 P38 RR went into a "hard fault" code and lowered to the bump stops.  This saved me a very uncomfortable 250 mile drive to the nearest LR dealer, as well as the large fee they wanted just to read the code.  I fixed the problem and was back off-roading in no time.
